Happy Birthday Moomy Dear

So, last November my Mom's poetry was published in a book of 21st Century Mormon Poets. It was such an honor to see my mom amongst many other well-known poets inside and outside Mormon Lit.

But today is my Mom's and Gma's birthday. They were so lucky to be born on the same day. My Mom would've been 47 and my Gma turned 69! I remember some of the things I would do for her birthday to celebrate it. It usually involved me being really well-behaved and not bugging her for the entire day. I'm such a good child. There was also the one year in Boston where I bought her a WNBA Barbie. I think those things are worth a lot now on Ebay. I have no clue where it is anymore. Sometimes I would even cook her dinner. But mainly I would remind her that she was a year older, and therefore old.
